AREA's work for government agencies draws heavily on its 20 years of institutional knowledge of real estate markets and socioeconomic trends.
Because we understand market and financial criteria for private sector real estate investments of all types, we produce realistic and workable approaches for securing private investment or reinvestment in urban neighborhoods.
A key asset for government officials is our ability to communicate candidly and effectively with private sector actors. The result is action-oriented policies and development strategies.

- Through funding provided by Allstate Insurance and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, AREA prepared a comprehensive housing policy analysis and land use plan for a portion of the South Chicago Community Area.
